National Health Director. Direct all OASIS health focused programs implemented in 17 cities across the United States.  Plan, coordinate, and write grant applications and contract proposals.  Contribute to professional manuscripts and presentations.  Oversee a two-year project of the Houston Healthy Lives Partnership (>$100,000). Over 900 older adults will participate in evidence-based health projects– Active Living Every Day, Chronic Disease Self-Management, and/or Active Start.  Oversee the expansion of Active Generations to over 2,000 participants as funded by the WellPoint Foundation for two years ($313,000). Active Generations (a project designed to improve the physical activity, nutrition, and health literacy of children and older adults) will be implemented in eight cities across the United States (Albany, NY, Baldwin Hills-Los Angeles, CA, Saint Louis, MO, Escondido, CA, San Diego, CA, Indianapolis, IN, Lakewood-Los Angeles, CA, and Syracuse, NY).  Oversee the implementation of the Free From Falls curriculum with over 1,000 older adults across three years– funded by the California Wellness Foundation ($180,000): This evidence-based fall prevention program will be offered in South and East Los Angeles to low-income, primarily African-American and Latino older adults.  Oversee the OASIS Research Group, which includes experts in the field of aging throughout the United States.
